Barney's Expertise

Barney joined Ariel’s global investment team in 2019 to enhance research efforts in the healthcare sector. Having worked at buy-side firms such as Epoch, Axiom and GE Asset Management, he brings over 20 years of experience researching global healthcare companies. After completing a year of residency at the Washington Hospital Center, Barney served in the U.S. Navy as a General Medical Officer with the Marine Corps Infantry stationed at Camp Lejeune North Carolina. He received a BA in business administration from Franklin & Marshall College, an MD from New York Medical College and an MBA from Campbell University.
